Who Pro is for
Sole traders

Prove the business-use % — then claim the real costs

Civil service mileage rates do not apply. The logbook gives you business vs private km; fuel, service and receipts become the Form 11 motor-expenses pack.

Why sole traders claim actual expenses
Tradespeople

Keep the van legal, and hand the accountant a pack in October

Site-to-site log, fuel and service receipts, CVRT and tax reminders — one PDF at year-end. Not BIK, not civil service rates.

Records for Irish tradespeople
Small businesses

One admin for the fleet — not Fleetio, not a spreadsheet

Up to 10 vehicles, fleet totals, year-over-year and CSVs with VAT columns. Family is 3 cars for a household; a 4-van builder is Pro.

Small fleet management
Company-car drivers

Defend the BIK band — or pay the higher one

A contemporaneous business-km log is what Revenue asks for. The rate steps down at 26,000 / 39,000 / 48,000 km. Commute is not business.

Same layout as a live Pro export

Forward this before you pay

Accountants ask for a proper log. This is one month from a sample van — Business / Commute / Private, period totals, trip list. Pro exports the same page for any period, including 1 January–31 December.

Figures are anonymised. Not a tax computation — your accountant applies rates and Form 11 treatment. Employees claiming civil-service rates get a Tax Period variant with a reclaim column and a signature block.

What Pro includes
Trip logbook — business, commute, private
The record Revenue asks for. Sole traders get a business-use percentage for Form 11. Employees and directors get a mileage-claim log. Company-car drivers get proof of business km to defend a BIK band. Pick From / To on a map and the kilometres fill in from the real driving route.
Tax-year PDF your accountant can file
Export a 1 January–31 December mileage PDF in the format Irish Revenue and accountants already expect — not a screenshot of a spreadsheet.
